The workshop gives a basic overview of the three most critical financial statements:

• Income Statement
• Balance Sheet
• Cash Flow Statement

We will walk through a retail wine shop's statements to show how the Income Statement connects to the Balance Sheet and how both feed into the State of Cash Flows.  This is a non-technical workshop focused on understanding the statements, not creating them. The intended audience is small business owners who want a better understanding of their financials.  
This workshop is NOT intended for accounting professionals. 

Floyd Ostrowski is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Professor of Practice, University of Tennessee Tickle College of Engineering.  He brings over 40-years of industry experience at a Senior Management level.  Floyd earned a BA in Business from Antioch University and a MS in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University.  He has been profiled in an Operations Strategy case study by Harvard University Business School.  In addition to the work at UT, he is a SCORE volunteer consulting with small businesses and startups in E. Tennessee.
