The Roane County United Way in conjunction with their Campaign Kick off will be hosting a Day of Caring on September 19th . United Way and its volunteers will first meet at the RCUW (Roane County United Way) and then groups will go out to Michael Dunn Center to weed flower beds and another group will be going to Rockwood Housing Authority to paint the inside of a house (and weed flower bed) that Family Promise is leasing for a dollar to be used as a day center to help families that are homeless with life skills education. Volunteers will meet at the RCUW at 8:30 am and go from there.
