Event Description:
A household hazardous waste disposal event will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Recycling Center at 215 White Pine Road in Harriman.
The one day even offers a free and safe way for local residents to rid their homes of household hazardous materials including solvents fluorescent bulbs, antifreeze, rechargeable batteries, fertilizer, pesticides and pool chemicals.
The public should not bring medical waste except needles in puncture-proof containers, explosives, radioactive materials including smoke detectors and empty containers.
Paint is accepted on Tuesdays at the Post Oak Convenience Center located at 123 Post Oak Valley Road in Rockwood.
