SUMMARY:Roane County Employer's Association - A Leader's Role in Motivating Teams and Individuals
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for lunch on Tuesday\, October 9th for\n\nA Leader's Role in Motivating Teams and Individuals\n\nPresented by Eric M. Benson\, Oak Ridge National Laboratory\n\nEric Benson is an outstanding speaker. Once you've heard him\, you will want to experience his unique\, entertaining\, and exceptional speaking talent again. \n\n\n\nIf a leader is responsible for performance and motivation is correlated to performance\, is a leader responsible for motivation?\n\n\n\nMotivation is rooted in the psyche. And its roots stretch deep into the conscious and unconscious realms of our mind. Understanding the source of motivation and how it impacts performance is beneficial for people at every level of an organization and essential for its leaders\, managers\, and supervisors.\n\nThis presentation will address the basic questions surrounding the concept of motivation and explore how we can harness its power for ourselves and those we work with. Using Susan Fowler's book\, Why Motivating People Doesn't Work and What Does\, we'll learn alternative\, healthier approaches for accessing and maintaining motivation over time. \n\n\n\nIf you've ever been frustrated by the "unmotivated"\, then this presentation is for you. Join us on October 9th and discover how you can begin to turn things around starting now!\n\n\n\nLunch is provided to Roane County Employers' Association (RCEA) members and first-time guests of non-member organizations.
