Join The Roane County Health Council for a "Chamber Chat"
The Roane County Health Council is working hard to make Roane County a Healthier Tennessee Community. The Governor's Foundation for Health and Wellness is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to enabling and encouraging Tennesseans to lead healthier lives. The Foundation brings together a statewide coalition of employers, health insurers, hospital systems, local governments, school systems and healthcare-focused foundations and community organizations to effect positive, measurable change. Increasing the number of Tennesseans who are physically active, promoting a healthy diet and reducing the number of people who use tobacco are the 3 initiatives of this program. The Roane County Health Council is currently working on creating goals and objectives for Roane County in these 3 categories.
